Spring Neutrals

^^ click me! ^^

Happy Hump-day everyone! Almost made it to Easter weekend y'all. I cannot wait to spend this weekend celebrating the Lord with my wonderful family and friends back in Raleigh. Not to mention, a little break from school is always a blessing ;)

I decided to wear this neutral outfit for a day filled with shopping, considering how comfy all of the items are! Tip: I always recommend wearing white pants when going shopping, considering all tops look amazing paired with them!

This flowy cardigan was very popular last year, and is the perfect addition to any top on a chilly spring evening. I paired this cardigan with a neutral blush tee, which makes my Moon and Lola necklace pop!

These Jeffrey Campbell Wedges have been on repeat this spring and on TCP! I originally bought these wedges last year for a wedding, and they turned out to be the perfect purchase. I highly recommend adding these to your beautiful shoe collection if you haven't already!

This Nation LTD top is my go-to when I want to wear something casual and comfy. Nation LTD is known for having some of the softest and simple pieces, and this one does not disappoint. As a bonus, I found it for under $30 at Marshalls! The light pink pop of color and the cold shoulder are perfect for this transition into spring.

My Jeffrey Campbell wedges have come back this season just as popular as they were last year (which I am SO happy about). They are so comfortable and flattering. If you are looking to invest in a fun pair of wedges for the spring, I highly recommend these babies!

Basic tees and tops are a must-have in any woman's closet, so I have linked a few of my other affordable favorites herehere, and here!

Wildfox Spring Dress

dress // wedges // earrings // sunglasses // bralette //

^^ click me! ^^

Happy Tuesday friends! In Wilmington yesterday, it was a warm, sunny 78 degrees!! This beautiful day allowed me to finally move to the tank dresses in my closet, a place I have been longing for for a long time. This Wildfox tank dress was a must-have last summer and I am SO happy to share with you that it is currently on sale for less than $50! Such a steal! It is so comfy and can be dressed up with a cute pair of wedges, or it can even double as a swimsuit cover up which makes this tank dress well worth the money.

The sides tend to hang a bit low, so I wear a bralette underneath, but I personally think it compliments the dress!

These Marc Fisher espadrilles have been selling out SO quickly this season, so grab them while you can! I am able to comfortably wear them all day, which makes them one of my favorite pair of wedges in my closet.

This beautiful, vintage Chanel bag was given to me as a "hand-me-down" from my sweet mother (thanks mom ❤). The color of the soft leather pairs perfectly with my wedges, so of course I had to carry it on this beautiful spring day!

Marc Fisher Dupes

Y'ALL. I cannot tell you how excited I was when I saw these babies sitting pretty in Marshalls shoe section today! I was so happy to find them in my size, and I instantly fell in love with the color. They are SO similar to these Marc Fisher LTD wedges that have been such a craze this spring!

The brand of the new wedges I purchased is called Indigo Blue, and is sold at common department stores such as Belk and Macy's. Unfortunately I could't find a direct link to the exact wedges I found today, but there are other colors that are in stock that are extremely neutral and beautiful. I highly recommend them, especially for the price. I got mine for $30 at Marshalls, so be sure to be on the lookout at the closest store near you!

Here are the dupes! So excited to share them with you all :)

Pool & Beach Essentials

^^ click me! ^^

Who else has been craving white sand and warm sunshine by the pool lately?! Living at the beach, you could say I'm obsessed with finding the best essentials. From bikinis and floppy hats, to pom pom details, there are so many cute items for this upcoming season! I purchased this blue, off the shoulder bikini for less than $20! Definitely a steal, and it fits perfectly. The top comes with padding, and the material is super stretchy.

If you can't find me at the pool, you can find me at the sea! UNC Wilmington is about six miles from the sandy beaches of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. During the late spring, the entire summer, and even most of fall, my friends and I love to relax for hours on the beach while listening to our favorite playlists. T.J.Maxx Friday Finds

Happy Friday everyone!!! I can finally relax after a busy, exciting launch week. It has been so fun planning posts, getting to know other bloggers, and even hearing from readers about how much they love TCP!  I am so thankful for everyone who has supported my new endeavor, either by reading each day, or reaching out to me. It means so much, and I am very grateful for your words of encouragement. So excited for this journey ahead!

For those who know me well, my obsession with TJ Maxx is undeniable.
One could definitely consider me a "Maxxinista", as they say. Being a college student,  I am thrilled to fall in love with pieces that fit my budget. Fortunately, TJ Maxx gives me this option, and almost every time I visit the store, I find adorable, affordable clothing! My favorite pieces are usually found in the Juniors section, which is where I found the top featured in the photos above. Although TJ Maxx has a wonderful website that you can shop from (I actually found this out recently!), they do not list all of their pieces that are available in the store. It is always a good idea to shop both.

I have linked a similar priced top above if you are unable to find this particular style in your local store. Pairing a great top like this one with a great pair of white jeans is always a win! The jeans that  I am wearing are by Hudson, and are by far my favorite white jeans that I own. Any guesses as to where I found them?....TJ Maxx, of course! They always have a great selection of jeans to choose from. Tip: I would definitely check your local TJ Maxx before ordering jeans online. This gives you a chance to try them on, considering sizes vary by different styles.

My Sheila Fajl hoops are always a go-to item in my wardrobe. They go perfectly with almost any outfit! Even though I have had this pair for quite a few years, they are still in great condition.

I decided to pair this outfit with my nude heels from Lulu's (which are under $30 by the way!). I had to go down a full size, which I highly recommend, as they tend to run quite large. These heels were ordered to wear with my bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding. They were surprisingly comfortable throughout the entire night, due to the "chunky" heel.  Many bloggers post very similar Steve Madden and Schutz heels, but these Lulus are certainly comparable and are budget-friendly!

Dorm Decor

^^ click me! ^^

Being a college student, I live in an on-campus apartment. I have five amazing roommates, and we all have individual rooms that are approximately 9x9 feet. Needless to say, it's a pretty tight space to live in! When I first moved in, I walked into a room with a lofted wooden bed frame, a twin-xl mattress (that was hard as a rock), a wooden desk,  and a small 4-drawer dresser...that's it! I have had so much fun transforming this very small space into my own private, little sanctuary.

Prior to my freshman year, my amazing, crafty dad helped me build custom wooden pieces for my dorm room. Together, we built the white piece that serves as my bedside table, and the white headboard piece for extra storage. The table holds my mini-fridge and printer. Last year it also held my microwave. As you can tell, it is a very useful piece!
The headboard piece has two shelves which has allowed me space to hold such items as books and candles. My custom, suede headboard, which was made by a family friend, fits perfectly into the large opening of this piece.

I decided to swap the wooden desk that came with the apartment, and replace it with my own white desk from home. I have had this desk since I was a young girl!
The "cubbies" component of this desk is my favorite part, as it allows lots of space for supplies and decor. Having this desk at school gives me a little piece of "home".

I love decorating my spaces, especially when it is a challenge. Moving in, I thought there was no way that I could transform my "small, cramped shoe box" into a comfy bedroom that I would enjoy. Now, after a little hard work and help from my amazing, creative mom, I am obsessed with my little 9x9 humble abode!

I purchased the majority of the decorations featured in the photos from Homegoods or Tjmaxx. For example, the curtains, the gold accent table, my desk chair, frames, and the tall gold lamp, all came from multiple visits to these two stores alone! Finding the best deals on adorable items at both of these places is so much fun! TJ Maxx and Homegoods  are definitely my "go-to" stores, and I would recommend them to anyone who is  transforming a small dorm or apartment room into a beautiful, comfy "home away from home"!

Spring Feeling

dress:  Saks Off 5th // shoes:  Rebecca Minkoff // earrings:  Bevello // bracelet:  David Yurman // monogram ring:  Moon and Lola // monogram necklace:  Moon and Lola (large)

How cute is this  Lucca Couture dress?! I got this beauty when visiting in Miramar Beach, Florida, this past spring break. I found this adorable piece at  Saks Off 5th for such a great deal! It is super comfortable and flowy, so the wind actually did me some good when shooting photos the other day. Their is also an  off-the-shoulder top in the same print as my dress that is under $30! Yesterday was the first day of spring and I could not be more excited for this new season to begin. I am so tired of cold weather and so ready for days at the beach.

I worked at a boutique here in Wilmington last fall and snagged these end of the season  Rebecca Minkoff sandals  for full price... but you're in luck: they're on major sale right now (and just so happen to come in six different adorable colors)!!! They will for sure be on my feet on repeat throughout this upcoming spring and summer.

Let me tell you about my obsession with these  earrings. I recently went into  Bevello and saw these on display and instantly fell in love. Did I mention that these also come in six adorable colors!? The hot pink ones are sitting high up on my wish-list.

Off-the-shoulder dresses and tops have seemed to fill my closet recently, and I am so happy that this trend has made a comeback this spring! I think it is so flattering on everyone. I've linked a few of my other favorite off-the-shoulder items on my wish-list   here,  here,  here.
